Today we’re highlighting the La Crosse Area Builders Association. Specifically, we’ll talk about what this organization stands for and how you can take advantage of some of the events they run. As a member ourselves, First American Roofing is ecstatic to be a part of such a great organization.

La Crosse Area Builders Association Home Show
The La Crosse Area Builders Association Home Show is a can’t miss event for homeowners who are looking to remodel or are interested in building a new home from scratch. The show is a one-stop-shop for all homeowners who want to meet professional and reliable contractors, as well as identify some new trends. It’s a great way to gain insightful knowledge from experienced contractors. They have everything from design + build contractors, to those that specialize in doors, windows, or decks. No matter what you’re looking for, this show has it. Make sure to stop by when it comes around again in March!
No matter who you talk to at this show, you can be assured that they are a reliable contractor. Those who are apart of the builders association do good work, are licensed and insured and can be counted on for getting the job done.
Tools for Schools
The builders association also works to support the Tools for Schools program in the area. We raise funds throughout the year and then donate the money back into the tech ed programs as a way to help expose more kids to the trades.
At the 2019 show, we showcased different schools that built different projects, like doghouses. These projects will then be auctioned off to help raise money for the program. It’s one of the many great ways this organization is working to give back to the community.
Parade of Homes
The Parade of Homes is the next big event from the builders association. Starting in mid-August, homeowners can visit homes built by some of the best builders in the area. This allows the general public to come in and see what the builder is doing to identify trends that they like and can use for their next home build or remodel. In addition, it allows people to meet the contractors and to figure out if they may be a good fit for their next home build or remodel.
If you’re interested in purchasing tickets for the Parade of Homes, you can purchase them at the beginning of August. Look for the Parade of Homes magazine and visit the La Crosse Area Builders Association’s website to find out when tickets go on sale.
The Mission of the La Crosse Area Builders Association
We spoke with the Executive Officer of the builders association, Tena Bailey, who told us more about the organization’s mission statement.
“Our mission is building industry professionals, working together, since 1971, to educate our members and to advocate for affordable housing and responsible government,” says Tena.
That may sound like a lot, but it can be boiled down to one simple phrase: protecting the homeowner. It’s all about making sure that there is a solid group of contractors available for homeowners to choose from who are knowledgable in their respective fields and will produce high-quality results at a fair price.
