Meet the First American Roofing and Siding Team

Doug Werner

Founder 1957-2010

Doug and his wife Gretchen built First American Roofing and Siding on the solid principles of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. Having been in the construction industry for over 20 years, they saw a desperate need in the coulee region for property owners to have a roofing and siding contractor that they could trust. In 2005, they devoted themselves to the pursuit of this vision.

Dallas Werner

Owner / President

Dallas is the son of Doug and Gretchen Werner, the founders of First American Roofing and Siding. At a young age, he started learning about the construction industry with his father. During his senior year at Holmen High School, Dallas joined the Wisconsin National Guard as a Combat Engineer with the 32nd Engineer Company. After returning from basic and advanced individual training, he continued his education at Western Technical College in the marketing program.

Upon returning from a second deployment to Iraq, Dallas came back to the family business, working in sales and management. When his father, Doug passed away in September of 2010, Dallas stepped in to fill his shoes. First American Roofing and Siding continues to operate under the same values and integrity that Doug instilled in the business. Dallas takes personal interest in every project, often serving as project manager.

Amy Werner

Corporate Secretary / Office Manager

Amy officially joined the First American Roofing and Siding team in 2015. Amy has degree in Marketing and Economics from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and over three years’ experience as a Contract Administrator with a large design-build firm. She brings professionalism, organization, innovation and efficiency to the marketing and financial side of the operations at First American Roofing and Siding.

Dallas and Amy wed in 2014 and live on a small hobby farm in Holmen. When they are not working, they enjoy spending time together outside; fishing, riding motorcycle and road biking.

Josh Hutson

Director of Business Development

Josh joined the First American Roofing and Siding team in 2017. Josh is originally from Washington State, where he grew up working on the family livestock and tree farm. Josh joined the Marine Corps after high school and was deployed twice to Iraq, and earned a commission as a Second Lieutenant. He also has a degree in History and English from Norwich University in Vermont. Josh brings professionalism, enthusiasm, and business experience to the First American Team.

Josh left the Marines after 10 years and moved to La Crosse with his wife Nicole to be closer to family. They have two beautiful children who love to go to bed late, wake up early, and go for long walks to the park.

Mike Koehn

Sales Representative

Mike has been with First American Roofing and Siding since 2014. Mike has over 12 years of experience is the home improvement industry. Mike’s professionalism, knowledge and experience shine through in every estimate and proposal he does.

Mike owns a home in La Crosse with his life partner Jenna and enjoys following sports and spending time on the river.

Curtis McCauley

Project Coordinator

Curtis joined the First American Roofing and Siding Team in 2013 with 8 years of construction experience and a degree in Business Administration from Winona State University. As a Project Coordinator, Curtis brings construction knowledge, attention to detail and time management to every project at First American Roofing and Siding.

When Curtis is not working hard he is an avid hunter and fisherman.

Dianne Volden

Bookkeeper

Dianne joined the First American Roofing and Siding Team in 2011 as the Bookkeeper. She is an alumnus of Logan High School and Western Technical College, where she earned an Associate degree in the Accounting field.

Dianne and her husband, Dan, own a home in Medary as well as a cabin in Northern Wisconsin. She enjoys spending time at the cabin, fishing, and being outside. She has three grown children (Dana, Derek, and Darci) and six grandchildren.

Ellie

Mascot

Ellie is a Fox Red Labrador Retriever born in 2013. She is the official greeter at First American Roofing and Siding and keeps the office clean by recycling the cardboard. She enjoys riding along with her Dad, Dallas, chewing on bones and chasing butterflies in her sleep.
